Unseen, unheard

life changing moments happen
with casual or random calls
we don’t know where they come from
except that we want it that way
moments rise from depths of Time

what was it that happened ages ago
left an ache or craving in my heart
a rebellion or unfulfilled desire
to get it right this time around
decisions grow from experience

it seems so unfathomable because
the subconscious is forever hidden
it becomes conscious when revealed
but without showing its origins
conscious thoughts are just reflections

the jury applies unrelated laws
they’ve never seen the premises
nor examined the defence plea
non-existent witness claims to know all
judgments are often flawed

what is omnipresent is not visible
the voice of God always unheard
thunder tears the sky apart
earthquakes hint at storms below
humans claim to understand all

Meet the Bar at dVerse – Line messaging

Sanaa introduces us to a new form of poetry

Line messaging is a poetry form created by Angel Favazza where the poet seeks to utilize the last line of each stanza to bring forth and represent an idea, a thought and notion.

There is no fixed meter, syllable count or rhyme scheme here except that the last line of each stanza (when read separately from the poem) should deliver an independent message or be a poem all on its own.

P.S. My last lines may not be a poem on their own, but can come together to create a poem, just like the subconscious works putting random thoughts together 🙂

  1. This is absolutely splendid, Reena! I especially like; “what is omnipresent is not visible.” Thank you so much for writing to the prompt 💖💖
