It is disturbing to see tiny implosions of rebellion in the behaviour patterns of inmates. The sanctuary for oppressed and distressed women has long ceased to be a haven of peace.
Breaking news about the arrest of the ashram chief rocks television channels while each social media post on the subject is an explosion. It looks like each inmate has spoken about exploitation.
Dyed-in-the-wool traditionalists cannot hold their ground, when each thread of the fabric threatens to break off.
It is only the first step of inmates towards feminism or liberation – they make themselves heard and are refusing to mouth the same lines their imposed role models speak.

A thread of lies breaks, sooner or later.

It better breaks sooner than later.

It is probably good that they don’t “mouth the same lines”. They can start thinking for themselves.
