Afterthoughts

holding up
raises a question
For whom, Why?
keep burning
to light up alien worlds
-not nurture myself

barriers
melting away, yet
I don’t like
what I see
eternity taken for
granted – will slip by

drop a part
of my torched version
let them know
it’s not fair
to assume fire only glows
it consumes itself
