A guru told her about a magic plant to change life for good.
Effects are slow, and finding the plant takes even more time. There she goes on a hunt, with online search, guides, users who vouch for it …. and finally finds it.
She’s elated. Time and money spent does not matter.
The plant is kept in a hallowed place.
Excitedly, her dog runs out and fetches a similar one.
Alas! It had been in her backyard all along, while she was hunting.
