“I admire the conviction you have in yourself, Vivian, like how you just keep going, not taking cognisance of obstacles placed in your path. May I ask what is the source of that strength?”
“I did not know till a hypnotherapy session brought back a memory, where I’d picked up a chit from a blue glass bowl for a fortune cookie, and it said “You will never fail.”
“So, you’re Destiny’s favourite child..”
“I like to believe so…” The twinkle in her eyes and bells jingling in her laughter belied her 40+ years.
Her father in the other room smiled, as he recalled how he had written the same message on all the chits, and how his dreams ad come true in the form of a confident daughter.

Great story, with an excellent message. Confidence is something that can be hard to feel, and I’m glad that Vivian’s father made sure that she would have a reason to feel it.

I like that all the chits had the same message. He constantly blessed his daughter with words.
