Does the world go round in circles

you know music says a lot

there’s no end and no plot

takes more than one hand to clap

just a thumb and a finger to snap

sheeple selfies decompose in brawls

didn’t get the memo on awes and flaws

to perceive deception seems too lame

there’s no resolve and too many to blame

insipidity and fake news one in the same

witless souls still pitied and tattered

empathy is all that mattered

yep, simpler days sadly old hat

by the way the earth isn’t flat
