Flaunting time

As their mark on time on Earth,

The rocks flaunt their fossils,

The trees flaunt their rings,

Nature flaunts her seasons,

It’s time to ring another year in my calendar of life,

Old one waltz past,

I look around for flaunt- worthy trinkets marking my time on Earth,

Lo and behold! Silver tresses, replacing pale black ones,

Romancing with time is bittersweet.
