It was my first dream after coming to the city – living in the tallest building there.
A passer-by who saw me gaping at the heights whispered,
“You know, only one window belongs to a person. There are so many up there, and so many wanting to get there.”
He did not wait to hear my thank you, but I’d learnt my lesson. Places up there are not permanent, because another aspirant can always push you out.
Shanties are temporary abodes, but full of dreams and disappointment. It depends on where you come from.
Life will swing between the two.

So true. ‘Places up there are not permanent, because another aspirant can always push you out.’ Beautiful take.

Oh so true! It’s a shame to have to live without basic security. Thank you for joining us again this week 🖤 Kelly
