And that scares the life out of so many. The simple refusal to be an obedient box-dweller.

People need structures to live. But we forget we can build our own.

That is good then. Be yourself!

Yes, we become so much more when we climb out of their boxes of expectation.

Very nicely done! Sometimes our expectations of others get us in trouble.

I love this. It’s so eloquently written and beautiful. Putting people in boxes is confining them to certain expectations, and expectations are hard to live by especially when put forward by someone else. That is not truly living then. That would be living as a hollow shell, following the ideal that someone else wants you to be.
It’s pure freedom to be who you truly are; no more constraints. That’s what I love about this piece. It is absolutely honest and freeing.

Each of us has so many sides, can we ever really know someone?

No. Because we only know the history of a person, not as he or she is at this moment.

It is a hard life conforming to the expectations of someone else. It is a slow strangulation of who you are. And it is not love to force someone to live in that box. So good on you for not going into it.
