Sharing a few thoughts and techniques on Reading ….
A busy mind is not a receptive mind.
We read in blocks, and a lot is quickly absorbed, because it is anticipated. At times, these preconceived anticipation can interfere with what the author is trying to say.
A small exercise to declutter your mind before reading or any other task that needs focus is REVERSE READING.
Take any page or screen in front of you, and read the words in reverse – from the end to the beginning. It does not make sense at all, but engages the mind so much, that you do not thiank about anything else that was occupying your thought process.
You are now fresh to absorb new inputs.
Try it out, and let me know in the comments, how it felt.
