Survivor

It takes weeks to get all the details right. All the walls, windows and wires are now in the right place. He scrapes off paint, repaints certain lines as he recalls those days.

During a coffee break, he wonders if things are still intact in the same place, or if the city exists only in his imagination.

The biggest challenge lies ahead. He has not yet gathered courage to paint those people on the blue terrace, and the bloodbath which occurred thereafter.

What happened that evening is history known to very few people. He is the last one left alive.

  1. He may be leaving it for posterity, but it is important that the truth be known. Oh, to be left alone with those memories… 😦 Maybe the painting will act as catharsis?
