it is a mind
with peculiar
neural pathways
cross-connections
fluid feelings
that shaped it
what makes the sculpture unique
is the resistance it offered
what made the sculptor sigh
and say
this is not how I visualised it
it saves the soul
of the sculpture
gives it identity
individuality
screaming
from every grain
It fights slavery
wins…
