Are we living in a simulation? Are we not real?
A close, intellectual friend of mine was furious at the insinuation. “It appears that idle minds do not have anything positive or intelligent to think about”, she opined. Well, the line of thinking did not appear to be useful. It creates questions on awareness, consciousness and existence, and we do not have sufficient research material to answer those.
Yet, I dreamt about her wielding a rod that night, and I was hooked to that rod. Is she the God-in-disguise everybody is reluctant to talk about? Did she explode in anger, because she feared the cat being let out of the bag? OMG! What an idle and useless line of thought.

I think damnation of the “idle hands” often comes from a point of those too lazy to think for themselves.

Excellent questions within the prose part. And a good wish for dreams within the haiku.
