“Long after you are gone, you will be remembered for the patterns you paint on the sky with colors of hope….”
“Wow, Linda, you are becoming a poet….”
“It is the impact of your company.”
Her smile is lovely, and can light up a million hearts. What a cruel joke of destiny that she can never see it herself. She is blessed with beauty, kindness and intelligence – but not vision.
Given the age difference between us, we know it that death will part us some day. Just that I don’t want her to know those colors never existed in her bleak surroundings…. those are just a product of my poetic imagination.
Some relationships defy all labels to remain undefined. I would like to hand over the baton before I go – to someone who adores her as much as I do.

Lovely writing Reena!
