Ram and Krishna were reincarnations of God – they knew well that the Devil is needed to strengthen belief in God. It takes a deep wisdom to know that certain people/things will be valued for what they fight or oppose, rather than what they are. The light of their existence throws shadows on the seemingly normal, and raises question marks.
Light rays cut through density of darkness, but learn all about layers in the process. Darkness knows both are composed of colors – the difference lies in levels of absorption or reflection.
