caged sunflowers
face different directions
pine for a different sun
-surrounding mirrors
reflect
the object of
their deepest desires
-yet leave them wondering
why is the warmth missing?
why does the heart not sing?
Seven horses of the sun
feel pulled apart
-whose love is this
which overpowers
their unity?
-Which undercurrents
call for help?
-Who is it
they need to rescue tonight?
So that the night ends
and the world wakes up
to a brighter dawn
with smiles
swaying in the wind
-but heroes fade
while worship lives
dark skies claim
territories
that once belonged
to a honest Sun…

no time
to waste
nor shoot the breeze
put the shit in the bag
and hold woof
on the line
fine by me!
