Unfamiliar

I’ve just completed a tour of the building, after studying the different forms of art on display. The inscrutability of this face bothers me – hiding itself with broken arms, refusing to lend itself to interpretation. It is so much there – in your face – and yet not there.

Epiphany strikes, and I resolve to meet the face sometime in future. Yes, that is where the secret lies.

We relate to everything else based on past knowledge and expertise gained through repetition. This is the face of what is unknown to us, what is yet to come.

I’ll meet her someday…

  1. This is brillliant. Understanding and appreciation of art/people/situations changes through a lifetime. Planning to re-evaluate something later is very wise.
