Tentacles

He did not have a high opinion of the two new recruits. It was not just because his arch rival, Hank had recruited them. He had watched the gals go berserk on social media. Hank might have a lot to explain if company secrets leaked out.

β€œTo each his own”, he idly thought as he floated down the staircase, with the jacket on his shoulders. He needed to unwind after a long day, and a drink at the nearest joint would do him good.

β€œBirds of a feather flock together”, he mused again with distaste as he saw those two new recruits perched on bar stools there.

He ordered a Daiquiri, moved to his favorite corner and froze in his footsteps.

He saw his wife in deep discussion with the two girls. Was he safe? How far had Hank spread his tentacles?
