I came, I saw, I thought I conquered
The world remained so indifferent
-eyes shut
i put out my hardest best
a few smiles, some accolades
I got
i strived hard, a little more
there was always so much to learn
-I’m glad
i observed, I analysed
i chucked out – all that was needed
no more
i chose, i consolidated
all that’s valuable to me
enriched
i thought i had found myself
big, bright mirrors spoke to me
happy
……………………………………………………………………………………………..
I turned around to see – but
world still din’t care about me
I learnt
richness is what comes from within
mirrors can’t match inner light
-that’s me

Lovely synchronicity poem! I liked the twist in the last stanza – words of truth indeed! Thanks for joining in the Saturday Mix 😊

It starts with a particular mindset, and ends on another – a progression rather than a distinction.
