I understand it is art. But the first thing I noticed was the unusual length of the arm, and the angle at which it appears to be holding nothing. The woman in the picture defies gravity by hanging on a ceiling. The unusual-ness of the image (also because it is a nude woman) grips the viewer’s imagination.
Word and syllable limitations do stunt expression at times.
Oh, thank you for clarifying!!! I think I know now why I couldn’t make the connection to the image. You are responding to the #9 challenge (https://iwriteher.com/2019/03/05/i-write-her-weekly-haiku-challenge-9/), not the #10 one which you linked! I will add it to the recap there. But now I can see EXACTLY what you mean. 🙂 Lovely!
Ohhkk! I reached it through some other participant’s post, maybe it was a part of the recap you provided. Regret! And thanjs for linking it to the right one.
Reena, let’s explore your interpretation. Can you tell me more of where it took you? I’m not sure I’m understanding how you reacted to it. I’m intrigued and want to know more.
Thanks!
