Privilege
a honor bestowed
possible
only by
differentiation
from scattered bits of my whole
Body parts
do not look the same
can I choose
brain or heart
from vital parts –
Different colors of the soul?

oh Reena this was amazing! we choose to wrap ourselves in different skins and colours, modern world gives us much option with make up and clothes etc but what about our inner most parts, you touched a nerve with your straightforward words.

Yes. Perceived and assumed privileges are another story. Thanks!

A very interesting take on this theme through the analogy of the body parts, Reena. This makes so much sense in this perspective: “possible/only by/differentiation/from scattered bits of my whole”.

Thank you, Anmol! It is a machinery which runs the body or society, not a part or segment.

We do privilege our brains and our lungs over our little toe, and that is reasonable. But the analogy was fun.
