Dark Xmas

I expected at least one stocking under the tree, to have my name on it. But it’s not there.

My mother left me in the car, strapped to seatbelts, and is busy partying inside. She expects me to cry myself to sleep. Well, this looks like …. darker than sleep. Is it the end of the world?

Do they even know that I’m here? I’m not dead.

The tale is dark for a Christmas theme, but is related to a news item I came across this morning. The 19-year old mother has been sentenced to 40 years imprisonment.

  1. So harsh! There are just some people in this world who never deserved precious children. Sometimes I wish our biology already knew that and would prevent them from ever being fertile. Grrrrrr. Well written but sad, Reena.
