So what exactly happened here? A woman felt powerless because she was unable to let go of a story she was holding onto which made her a victim. Even though she no longer saw this man, her former lover, she carried him within, and over and over again inside was keeping this version of the story alive.

till I want to kill all sound
reverberating negativity
fills up the air all around

I breathe without interference
but cannot believe I’m free
knowing that you hide somewhere
watching my discomfort with glee

did you ever think, my love
what are you leaving behind?
a bitter taste and dark shadows
clouding a once sane mind

a long life- unending years
not a single cherished moment
one can always fight evil
but not a toxic temperament
