Despair at the lowest end

This is not a shoe shop. It is my wife’s dressing room, where she has spent a major part of her life. She developed pain in the knees, and I am compelled to sort out the ‘healthy’ ones with a balanced mind.

I despair at the money outflow, as I spent my life engrossed in earning more. Her temper tantrums and disappointment at not being able to wear the beauties again does not help my mental state. Some of those are brand new, awaiting an appropriate occasion.

Do I plan for a knee replacement surgery, or is there still hope?
