Life under construction

“This house has been under construction for long.”

“Actually, construction stopped years ago. The couple who was building it separated.”

“Ohhh! They could have sold it off…..”

“No. The man is waiting for the perfect partner to arrive, so that he can re-plan and reconstruct his dream home.”

I walked away with a sigh. Perfection waits to happen, and imperfections on the way are ignored. Can someone put together a collage that looks beautiful, in its own way.

For those who know the language, this video will bring back a Bollywood era. For those who don’t, the visuals will still convey a meaning, with the story as a backdrop.

Yeh tera ghar, yeh mera ghar, yeh ghar bahut haseen hai

Translation of the first stanza of the lyric

Here’s my house, here’s yours

it is a beautiful house

here’s my house, here’s yours

those who wish to look at it

need to come and borrow first

your vision, my vision

  1. This is reminiscent of my aunt’s place… being built, and suddenly she dies and her husband of 15 years gets married to someone else and they enjoy her dream. Then of course another friend who lived in her newly built house for a couple days and died… the husband remarried quite quickly… The fickleness of life and material things… Thanks for sharing Reena.

    1. Some astrologers believe that property ownership is linked to your stars. One cannot buy/sell/rent at will. It happens only when destined.

Thanks, Donna-Luisa! Great communicating with you after long….
