Confession

Ever since somebody told her she was rigid, she made an extra effort to be flexible. Working hours for her employees, interiors of her living quarters, parenting style were all tailored to flexi-perfection.

“You know what, Tia, I’m unable to breathe in open air, and want to know if it a rare kind of disease or phobia?”

“Knowing you, I would like you to interpret that,” my psychologist friend Tia was all ears.

“I have seen boundaries falling off like cards.”

“If that is about the dalliance between your husband and me, I confess.”

Josie hit the nail on the head…there is one BIG backstory here 🙂 Shall we hear more from this character and her deceitful friend/psychologist Tia?? 😀

  2. This story has a powerful backstory about taking things too far, both in being flexible and in other people’s ability to take your flexibility and run with it…. down the street and off the bridge! When one tries to be open-minded and accommodating, it can be difficult to determine when enough is enough. From such experiences, I find myself less flexible than I once might have been. Good story! 🙂
