“Your soul is the only constant through cycles of life and death,” the last words from the guru’s discourse resonate through my being.
How I would like to turn back and ask, “Have you ever felt your soul being spliced through, with the sharp edges of assumptions, mis-judgements and uncalled for jury verdicts? To plant a burden on somebody else’s psyche is cutting edge technology, mastered by the psychopaths of the universe. Do they feel light enough to travel ahead after that, or are as empty as any other soul?”
“Are you building a case in self-defence?”
“No. The only constant is a yearning for the unknown, and both of us suffer from the same malady.”

Fascinating question, and well put!

thought-provoking Six! (it made me think of a number of stories of zen masters, upon having students pose the most intricate of questions, reply ‘wu’ (and then hit the student on the head with a cane… lol)
something I can mull over this afternoon

Wow. Excellent SSS. Your 6 resonated. The need “to know”, the need to gather information and knowledge, for some of us is both burden and reward.
“To plant a burden on somebody else’s psyche is cutting edge technology…” Love this line.
