Lingering shadows

I was young. I was romantic, and eagerly looked forward to that perfect union with a soul mate. Getting  obsessed with  your exotic beauty, and the allure of an off-beat relationship came easy.

concealed between layers of

yet untold stories

 Deep inside the corridors of  bonding, reality revealed itself. We were so similar. Both of us wanted to change the other. It was bound to fail, and it did. Your insolence does not surprise me today, as I see  reflections of myself there. But at that stage, it did. Who knows, it might work better a second time around, with no strings attached.
