Victory

He failed again … and she rejoiced.  She gyrated on one foot in a celebratory jig, and froze in shock. Her nemesis was standing right behind her.

“So you thought I’d given up?”

“You don’t stand to gain by doing that.”

“Well, I must give you credit for that. You have developed a great perception of reality.”

“What can be a showstopper?”

“You mean deal-breaker? I have been promised a fortune for your head.”

“Name your price…”

“You…”

She swung around and jumped down from the balcony. It was all over in a fleeting moment. He looked at a the mangled heap of flesh and bones on the ground. Well, he could still claim that he pushed her over the edge…..

The damned watch had a recording device, and the police got hold of it. She was determined not to lose.
