I count time
to face Death
once again
look at it
in the eye
silently
with unseen strength
I’m not doomed
I muddled through life
uncoached
unprepared
but I will
own Death
with sharp precision
there it comes
with hope
of resurrection
and redemption

This is a great poem, Reena.

I like the idea of looking at death with silent strength.

The concept of death is always used to terrorize the living. I guess we fear pain more than death, and the two get mixed up.

I wonder too… maybe there is purpose in muddle

If you believe in destiny, you will see a purpose 😊 Otherwise, it is a royal mess.
