Quietly, she completed the household tasks, before calling it a day.

Unrest prevailed in her mind, as she thought about the requirement of employees in a local NGO.

Ira was never seen as a particularly intelligent person.

Ennui had ruled life, after her marriage to a rich landlord, three children and an apparently cushy existence.

She knew inwardly that the dormant phase was ending.

Confidence was her armor, as she faced the interview panel.

Excellence was her second name, she said, having managed a large household with difficult inmates.

Non-plussed, the panel members could not nail her for lack of work experience.

The managerial job was hers.
