A visit to this place was an annual ritual. She drove deftly through the risky bends, to thank the dark mountains.
Years back, a car had tumbled down the valley and killed its sole occupant. The news appeared in an obscure column of the local newspaper, and then, disappeared from public memory. A little cosmetic surgery and new identity documents helped Lisa start a new life. She had escaped the confines of her marriage to a psychopath.
The secret of the mountains was not so dark. The fake accident had saved her from a disastrous existence. She paid her gratitude….

There is nothing better for a fresh start than a fake accident
