She sees it as a transgression of personal boundaries, and refuses to live in denial. They do not have a right to malign her, and loot her personal belongings, just because she refuses to conform to their way of life.
They believe in compliance and unquestioning loyalty, and she seeks fair returns for her capability and contribution. Social movements highlight certain issues, but fall woefully short of dispensing justice. The conflict continues.
The smoke refuses to clear, but she is determined to reach the source of fire.
