Seething Within

The ringing phone cuts through the eerie silence and darkness in the house. She refuses to answer it, or end her self-imposed exile. She has been seething in rage on the injustice inflicted on her by the family.

  1. imo, it might be best (and, by implication from the the story) to ‘think of other means’. This because to turn all the negative emotion inwards not only is not comfortable, it has a way of attaching itself to the person. Negative energy sometimes settles in and becomes remarkably self-destructive.
