All my life, I was the one asking for the room temperature to be raised, while my husband was sweating. The roles have reversed, as hormonal changes hit, and I find myself in a sultry mood, in pleasant ambient temperatures.
Ultimately, it is about how our bodies interact and adjust with the external environment, which decides the level of comfort. Heat or cold are just relative terms.
Would the same principle not apply to a state of mind?
It is how we respond that matters, not the stimuli.

The older I get, the colder I feel. So a hot flash used to bring me up to what I guess my husband felt. Thankful for blankets and sweaters.
