I had looked forward to retirement, but honestly, the empty nest hurts a bit. I wait for the annual visit of my grandchildren, when we have a ‘Paper Boat Festival’, akin to the Kite Festival in Gujarat, and creativity in making a boat is rewarded.
I deliberately lose every contest, so that they come back to win and devise newer contests.
For Sonya’s Three Line Tales #Week 83

Losing the contest to win hearts. Loneliness is not easy to combat.

Sad that she’s so lonely, enticing the children in with paper boats – very sad

What a great idea Reena, I love retirement, as I see it, every day is a good day.

The loneliness behind planning the annual event is also palpable there. Thanks for the comment!
