Emotions

The newly minted HR Head had worked three days and two nights to write the first draft of the HR Policy, with the objective of creating a new work culture.

The first request for an appointment came from the labour union leader, who had serious objections to certain clauses.

The CEOs secretary called to say that the boss was upset, and how could the draft be circulated without first seeking his approval?

The girl in Finance he was dating felt that certain clauses on time discipline did not suit her convenience, and he should have shown the concern to consult her first.

He pushed the latest book on organizational culture away, as he realised that he was sitting atop a mine-field of emotions.

He had held erroneous notions that culture could emanate from a policy document.

  1. very cool… (I liked how subtly the prompt word was embedded in the story)… the story was enjoyable as well, but (after I read it) I still went looking for the word…lol (I was playing with permutations of the word mine as well, but could not come up with anything… nicely done)
