No alternatives

I do not know why I trusted you. I had been through hope and despair in life, and was not exactly a novice.

Maybe, there was no alternative but to trust. You appeared to be the oasis in an arid desert, and the key to survival.

But change is the only constant in life. Your carefully constructed veil had dropped. I saw, but I did not conquer. I just walked away, and never turned back.

  1. Your haiku is a perfect complement to your prose……the mask drops away. May we all find people to share our lives with, our moments with, who are comfortable in their own skin.
