The Lone Tree

The lone tree carries

the stories of

storms and hurricanes

and of survival.

 

It  watches

many life stories

unfold on holidays

and take interesting turns.

 

It speaks to them

with years of wisdom

but remains unheard.

Communication gaps!

 

It pines for a holiday

for stillness

and looking within.

Will that be Death?
