The depth of my soul
perpetually unfilled
alone and thirsty
whatever comes in
gets terrified of depths,
flows out to fill
another shallow
recipient waiting to
fill imagined depth
depths are not hollow
they have substance, hence I think
of unfilled spaces
enriched by flowing
waters that leave slices
of unabsorbed truth
I am deep, because
I hydrate, not dissolve
to fill and quench thirst.
