A Flash of Lightning

Claustrophobia

surrounds me

blocking escape

from limiting

environs.

Crowds stare

With uncomprehending eyes

I feel relieved

that they cannot read

the recesses of my mind.

Lightning flashes

amidst clusters of stars

and zillions of raindrops.

It perishes with a blast

feared and misunderstood.

I wait for thought energy

to be channelized in small chunks

and illuminate minds.

Of what use is intense light

which does not reach the ground?
