Messengers from Heaven

I woke up with light streaming in on my face, from the gaps in the ceiling. The storm had blown away the red earthen tiles on the roof. The wind lowered down the swaying branches to meet me, and I picked up a few leaves that had dropped inside. I felt a few droplets of rain on my shaking palm. I saw reflections of the rainbow, dancing on those droplets.

The moment was sheer bliss, after a confinement of several months. Messengers from heaven were touching my soul. I would die a happier person, even if lightning struck through the roof. A peaceful feeling envelopes me, of being one with the elements, at the fag end of life.

I sprint forward now

heaven awaits my exit

from hell of life.
