What Do You See – Helene Vaillant

ff.jpg

In my whole

There are those times,
though fewer than I’d like,
when I ride the thermals to me,
a flight beyond fancy,
wherever that may be and,
to ensconce
in the luxury of my inner world
a vast continent of view
to feel,
to chew,
the thoughts that are so delicious,
to tease the obtuse
and the ever beyond so hard to apprehend
to touch the daily with delight
taking time to reflect
where the jingle jangle is so without
and I am so within
feeling prescient,
whole,
inexplicably content,
an infinity,
floating,
above these tufts of merengue,
sitting in my old friend
the tree of life as wisdom tree
looking,
seeing,
a wisdom so inarticulate,
other than to say,
I am me,
and here I am,
contentedly content,
in my whole.

Photo Challenge #249 – Things Growing in My Eyes.

Things growing in my eyes …. by Michael

There are things growing in my eyes,

They weren’t always there

But I feel them now

Moments when my vision blurs

When a good rubbing clears them away

Until they find cause to grow again.

It wasn’t always this way

I had good eyes once,

Blue, clear, 20/20 vision.

But age caught up with me

First my long sight

Then reading, I was ensnared

When my eyes found reason to get lazy

And I had to wear glasses

For that gave rise to more laziness

Thicker lenses and heavier frames.

They tell me its part of getting older

But I think denial can take care of that

At least I tell myself that

As I clean my spectacles once again

Rub the bridge of my nose

As it complains of a weight

It wasn’t supposed to bear.

Looking down at my computer screen

I pop on my computer glasses

So…

Nothing

TheDarkestFairytale's avatarThe Darkest Fairytale

I’m writing my life
On a Celestial page,
Where time doesn’t exist
It’s just a figment of age.
There is an inbetween
As I fell through the gap,
I asked the abyss for help
And it lead me into a trap.
There’s silence in sound here
Black and white in colour,
The spectrums merge
With dimensions to discover.
The chronicle of events
I stand here touching,
And it all makes sense
Life equates to nothing.

‘Lajmi to nahin’ … by hecblogger (Amit Agrawal). English translation in Comments section.

Reena’s Exploration Challenge #71 – Getting it Right

Getting it Right — by Michael

Michael's avatarMorpethroad

challenge-71

We spend most of our lives thinking we need to get it right. Often it leads to many anxious moments especially when you realise we’ve basically stuffed something up.

Some people stress over not getting it right believing they are made to look foolish or incompetent in front of peers especially.

No one likes to be thought of as wanting and it takes a lot of ‘growing up’ to understand you can’t always get it right, you can’t always succeed and you have to learn to deal with failure.

When I was a drama teacher one of the sayings I used was to say to a student who had an idea for a performance to give it a go and see what happens.

Sometimes it didn’t work, but most times I found what might not be their best work could be adapted to produce something they were more often than…
