Take a deep look
Each line carries
Stories untold
To be absorbed
By Mother Earth
Take care when you walk
You will step into history
not captured in textbooks
the energy will seep through you
and unknowingly, you will connect
with centuries gone by
I am passing over
what I received from roots
from the earth
my span ends

Beautifully written with so much depth.

Reena, this is a thoughtful and evocative poem, meditating on our relationship to the earth, to the past, and to our own finite presence -lovely💞

This is beautiful Reena! The leaves are indeed a part of a bigger cycle- life- death- rebirth. Thanks for joining in.
