I was touched by a Facebook post today, and I’ve used the screenshot as the cover image here.
The simple things— a comfort zone we carve from the chaos. We trim, reshape, and restructure the moments that once jolted us with their rawness.
What feels gentle now was once seismic— life-altering, when it first arrived unannounced, like a truth we weren’t ready to hold. Think about our entry into this world and how we learnt to navigate it.
Simplicity is just a softened memory of complexity.
Roots— mud-covered, tangled, unseen— hold the tree with a quiet ferocity. They are not less than the trunk or leaves, just deeper.
And so, we need to see the profound in the plain, the intricate in the innocent, the beginning in what we thought was just background.
And BTW, my compliments on being the pillar that is holding up MLMM.

Thank you… With age comes wisdom. Everything in our ‘inner library’ makes us who we are. I would not go back and change one thing… even the most regretful time, if I could not be where I am now.

I loved your post, Reena. Seeing the profound in the plain, finding deeper meaning, and going beyond the superficial is how we gain new perspectives.
