“Because you have no other option but to believe.”
“Falling in line and believing are different things. I can do something because there is no option, but I will always know you are being dishonest”.
“Who cares? Outliers cannot label others as liars. All those who stand to gain will stand by me.”
“They are weak individuals who prefer to follow rather than question.”
“They are the ones who carry the world on their shoulders and take it ahead. Questioners lie bleeding somewhere in the basement.”
Deep down in the basement, an alien woke him up.
“Will you share all dark secrets with me?”
“But why, and who are you?”
“I am a kingmaker. We will topple the existing regime, and you will be the ruler.”
“What is your motivation in doing so?”
“Why do you need me as a front?”
“Someone needs to shoulder responsibility for failure, if that happens.”
He declined the offer and still lives in the basement.
The current ruler shared secrets, but those were more of concocted stories.
