The moon winks just as I start drawing curtains for the night.
“Talk to me before a cloud interrupts our conversation,” the invitation is tempting enough to make the curtain rings stop in their tracks.
“The night is hearing our inane chatter,” I warn the flirtatious Moon.
“Nights turn poetic by absorbing secrets and let artists come hunting for them.”
“You will change shape again, and all poems and art will stand transformed.”
“I wish to break out of these cycles and cavort around in the galaxies – maybe other planets need my borrowed light to generate poetry in long nights.”

The moon is a friendly thing.

We interpret it as friendly. I hope it likes the humans that arrive in rockets.

I talk to the moon! If it went to another galaxy, I would be quite sad, but wouldn’t blame it one little bit. Great take on the prompt.

I like the invitation from the cloud to talk before a cloud interferes with the conversation.

Just about everyone else saw the Sun while you and I saw the Moon.

We are just out of a lunar eclipse, so perhaps others missed the Moon.

So far this morning I have read about the moon collecting everyone’s secrets, and now here it is the night absorbing them. Hmm is the universe trying to tell me something?

Here, the moon wants to elope somewhere 😊 so s/he would rather deposit secrets in the night.
