The spaces I leave for grass to grow give a different texture to stories.
They tell me so much about what happens underground. I retain the choice to accept or reject theories.
The lies in the world are spoken either with an ulterior motive or because I could not say, “Wait till I dig the truth and let you know.” I’d lose my job or credibility with that answer.
What works better for me is picking up some facts and twisting them to remain open to interpretation.
I keep myself on safe grounds, and the world is happy.

Facts, truth, interpretations, lies-what a slippery slope. I enjoyed your writing and take on this photo!

Facts can be true, or false, and sometimes it is hard to tell. Love your writing.

Excellent title for this interesting piece, Reena. Is everything these days plotted out? Have all shades of innocence and trust been washed away so that all that remains is a wet slide in the theme park of life? Provocative tale.

Facts are slippery things, but they do constrain the range of possible lies
