“Project complexity is the perfect counterfoil to showcase one’s ability,” she said, drawing a sharp question from her coach about who the goal-setter or challenge creator is.
She clutched onto the chair in her search for words, then mumbled, “I believe in setting goals for myself.”
“Choosing the toughest path shows an effort to prove something to someone, maybe yourself, and that itself is a weakness. Your existence should be a statement – in what you are, rather than what you do, give, or own.”
“How does anyone know what I am – I need a showcase.”
“Do they need to know?”

Excellent points. The only time anyone needs to know might be your boss at work, as it sometimes determines if you keep your job or get a raise/promotion.

An example of a conversation worth having and one more should engage in. Excellent title for your Six, Reena.

There’s a lot to contemplate here; the coach asks some tough questions!
