I exited the elevator and realised it was the wrong floor.
I pressed the button again but had to wait till it returned from the 29th floor.
Meanwhile, a toy winks at me from a box. I notice somebody’s life packed in a few boxes, waiting to find a new home.
“Can we see the sunset from the balcony in the new house?” I hear a sweet voice from the half-open door.
“We have a lawn there. You can play any time you wish.”
“But the sun will miss me. I say goodnight every evening.”
“No worries, he’ll find you.”

A sweet and uncomplicated story, Reena. Very enjoyable! 🌞

New home and new beginnings. Good that some things are constant.

I love the inquiring mind of a child. This one is going to do quite well with the move, I think.

Beautiful image of the sun finding the boy… And there’s something very poignant about children making their first move.

A new beginning and new place, but the sun will always find you. Lovely story with a light sense of sentiments.

What a nice idea – the same sun will be in the sky at their new home, and so reassuring for a worried child. Lovely.

What a sweet story, Reena. Life presents us with gifts when we stop long enough to notice them.

Maybe the kid doesn’t yet know what a lawn is

He might enjoy the wider scope than what the balcony offers to play 🤗

Ohhh, that is so sweet. As we are waiting for our new apt to open, back where we used to live (and most importantly, on the bus route), we were talking last night. “Wouldn’t it be nice if they put us back into the same apartment we were in? It overlooks the courtyard, and I can sit and watch the squirrels play.” I told hubby. He looked over at me with a chuckle. “You are a squirrely girl, and I love ya anyway.” I tell ya, it really helps as I’ve been rather down with having lost the ability to drive.

Guarenteed Hubby love… the rest is just superficial stuff.
